While I've gained numerous opportunities to learn skills over the past 10 years, I continue to be curious and take up challenges outside my comfort zone. The COVID-19 pandemic shaped unique experiences for me that served as eye-openers. I credit the projects below that helped foster my growth in

Discovery-to-Market Consulting Practicum - Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore

- Worked with 4 peers to understand the market of a med-tech device that uses HINTS - a clinical bedside test used for diagnosing the cause for dizziness either because of middle ear problems or posterior stroke
- Conducted market research and segmentation, industry analysis, intellectual property analysis, revenue projections, and business modeling; presented findings to renowned neurologist and device inventor at Johns Hopkins Hospital

Student Services Excellence Initiative - Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore
In the light of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shift to more virtual activities and communities, the Student Services Excellence Initiative works to help orient incoming JHU students and learners. The week long co-design session focused on using the existing tools at JHU to help orient incoming Johns Hopkins undergraduates and Carey Business School students and required approximately 20 hours of dedicated work.
Co-Designer Accomplishments:
- Attended 5 co-design session meetings to learn and implement tools used in design thinking
- Interviewed 8 stakeholders involved in new student orientation
- Collaborated with fellow design cohort members on design prototypes using Balsamiq and presented ideas to stakeholders at the close of the session

MBA Hospital Consultant

Experiential Learning Consulting Practicum - Oskar Jandl Hospital, San Cristobal
- Created and ran patient-experience and awareness survey on 2 islands; interviewed 150+ natives to understand pain-points of hospital experience
- Worked with 2 peers to formalize a financial model using MS-Excel to reallocate $7 million operational budget from Ministry of Public Health into 9 hospital departments
- Proposed time-bound recommendations to improve Emergency Department patient trust involving 2 digital touch-points with the community
